During the early morning hours, winds will increase ahead of an approaching low pressure. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through the afternoon. Some gusts up to 45 mph are possible at times. Winds decrease during the evening hours but remain elevated in the 20 to 25 mph range. Properly secure outdoor objects and seasonal decorations.

Margaret Dirksen
Margaret "Margie" Dirksen, 76, Maria Stein, died at 1:35 p.m. July 26, 2014, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born April 26, 1938, in Philothea, to Joseph and Theresa Stahl Pleiman. On June 18, 1960, she married Paul J. Dirksen, who died Nov. 16, 1996.
Surviving are three daughters, Teresa (Don) Puthoff, Columbus, Julie (Brent) Shafer, Columbus Grove, and Janice (Rob) Riggs, Chicago; two sons, Tom Dirksen, Maria Stein, and Jim (Amy Meier) Dirksen, Versailles; eight grandchildren, Nathan and Sarah Puthoff, Brady and Zach Shafer, and Jacob, Kyle, Tyler and Travis Dirksen; three brothers, Ernie (Emma) Pleiman, Bob (Betty) Pleiman, Coldwater, Tom (Marilyn) Pleiman, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four sisters-in-law, Gerri Dirksen, Wilmette, Ill., Mary Dirksen, Celina, Barbara (Jack) Gels, Dayton, and Salome Pleiman, Coldwater.
Also deceased are four sisters, Vera Stelzer, Lucille Fleck, RoseAnn Post and Alice Homan; one brother, Arthur Pleiman; and six brothers-in-law, Florian Stelzer, Richard Fleck, Ralph Post, Leonard Homan, Donald Dirksen and Carl Dirksen.
She was a homemaker and helped run the family dairy farm before she retired. She enjoyed many activities including reading, line dancing, traveling, singing in the church choir and weekly coffee meetings. She especially enjoyed time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
She was a hard worker and faithful church member, teaching those qualities to her children and grandchildren by her example. She loved a good laugh and enjoyed people and conversation. Her quick wit and warm heart will be truly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
