The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio, through midnight EDT tonight. Smoke from Canadian wildfires will adversely impact air quality. The Agency expects the Air Quality Index to be in the 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' range. CELINA - Despite Grand Lake's algae problems, Celina water customers do not face the same problems as those in Toledo, water plant superintendent Mike Sudman said.
The nearly $7 million granular activated carbon filtration system added in 2008 to eliminate trihalomethanes has prevented any contamination from entering the drinking water of the 11,000 homes served by the system, Sudman said. [More]
