Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Numerous bags of dog food lie across U.S. 127 at state Route 119 after two semitrailers collided at the intersection Wednesday morning. The crash was the first of several in the area that left at least nine people injured including one in critical condition.
