Marilyn Armstrong
Marilyn L. Armstrong, 84, St. Marys, died at 8:51 p.m. Oct. 2, 2014, at her residence.
She was born June 29, 1930 in Allen County, the daughter of Raleigh and Hazel (Prine) Point. She married Paul Armstrong on Nov. 22, 1948, in Delphos and he preceded her in death in 1996.
She is survived by two children, Pauline (Ned) Engel, St. Marys; and David (Mindy) Armstrong, Daytona Beach, Fla.; siblings, Sylvia Harter, Delphos; Wanda Bowman, Kenosha, Wis.; and Norman Point, Zion, Ill.; grandchildren, Brian (Kathy) Engle, St. Marys; Jason (Kristen) Engle, St. Marys; David, Amanda, Balinda, Kylie and Kayla; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a brother, Dale Point; in-laws, George and Mildred (Ditto) Armstrong; and a close family friend, Richard Luersman.
She was a graduate of Elida High School. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Van Wert Manor Nursing Home and was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed raising show rabbits for many years.
Private family rites will be held.
Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, has charge of arrangements.
