Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Lois Adams
Lois M. Adams, 86, formerly of Youngstown and New Bremen, died at 9:28 a.m. Oct. 2, 2014, at the Springfield Masonic Community, Springfield.
The family will hold services at a later date.
