Ted Turner
Ted Turner, 61, St. Marys, passed away at 9 a.m. Nov. 6, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 11, 1953, in Martin, Ky., to Clifford Turner and Norma Jean Horn McMurray. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Celina.
Also surviving are two daughters, Miracle (Shane) Elam, Yellow Springs, and Charity (Dustin) Platfoot, Jackson Center; a son, Chance (Heather) Turner, Piqua; two brothers, Gene (Gretchen) Turner, St. Marys, and Joe Douglas (Faye) Turner, Georgetown, Ky.; the children's mother, Cindy Perry; and six grandchildren.
Also deceased are a sister, Lana Deaton, and a stepfather, Roy "Bus" McMurray.
He was a 1971 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He attended Ohio State University and completed his bachelor's degree from University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Calling is 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys.
