Lucille Droesch
Lucille M. Droesch, 91, Chickasaw, died Nov. 25, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Cassella to the late Peter and Sophia Speck Ranly. On Oct. 9, 1946, in Cassella, she married Bernard "Ben" Droesch. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2008.
Surviving are children, Helen (Bob) Uhlenhake, St. Henry, Mary (Mick) Osterholt, Maria Stein, Thelma (Martin) Topp, New Bremen, Jane (Bruce) Weide, Worthington, and Don (Rosann) Droesch, Maria Stein; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella Mae (Ralph) Liette, Chickasaw; brothers, Orville Ranly, Celina, and Don (Joan) Ranly, Columbia, Mo.; in-laws, Rosemary Obringer, Coldwater, Marie Ranly, St. Henry, Barbara (Don) Heitz, Delphos, Rosa Anna Mox, Delphos, Don Gerdeman, Delphos, Mary Droesch, St. Henry, and Rosemary Droesch, Chickasaw.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Bernice; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alvina (Walter) Klosterman, Hilda (Florus) Obringer, Sister Teresa Joseph Ranly, Rita (Ray) Flaute, and infant sister Mary Ellen Ranly; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norbert (Ethel) Ranly, the Rev. Victor Ranly, Paul (Erma) Ranly, Art (Eileen) Ranly, and the Rev. Ernest Ranly; and infant brothers Joseph and Walter Ranly.
She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, where she taught religion classes. She was a charter member and past president of the Chickasaw VFW Post 9019 Auxiliary and the Maria Stein American Legion Post 571 Auxiliary and a member of the Cassella C.K. of A. 943, the Ladies Sodality of Precious Blood Church and significantly influenced the creation of Cheryl Ann Program. She obtained her GED in August 1998.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, the Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial will take place in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
