* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Charles Wendel

Charles E. Wendel, 61, Decatur, Ind., died Dec. 10, 2014, at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

He was born Sept. 1, 1953, in Decatur, Ind., to John L. and Leah M. Richard Wendel.

Surviving are a brother, Jerry Wendel, Celina; three sisters, Karen Wendel, Berne, Ind., Cheryl Moser, Berne, and Peg (Wenzel) Martin, Bahama Islands; and a daughter, Heather Hunt, and her family.

He formerly attended St. Paul United Church of Christ, Rockford. He was engaged in farming and enjoyed truck driving and transporting Amish. He also enjoyed playing cards, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Calling is 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.

Memorials may be given to the family.
