Donald Thees
Donald E. Thees, 82, Celina, died at 8:48 a.m. Jan. 18, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born May 22, 1932, in Mercer County, to Myron and Ruth Christian Thees. On Dec. 24, 1983, he married Patricia "Patty" Bollenbacher, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are five sons, Jeremy (Amy) Brewster, Celina, Doug (Kellie) Thees, Celina, Steve Thees, Cincinnati, Rick Thees, Cincinnati, and Mike Thees, Celina; two daughters, Amy (Jesse) Gilliland, Celina, and Kathy Alidou, Celina; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Thees, Celina; two sisters, Mildred Crouch, Celina, and Margery Miller, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Carol Thees, Celina, and Darlene Thees, Celina; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Mark Thees; two brothers, Ronald Thees and John Thees; a brother-in-law, Paul Crouch; and two grandchildren.
He was superintendent at Speicher Brothers Inc., Celina, a courier for Mercer Savings Bank and was self employed for 19 years at Thees Farm Drainage. He attended Celina First Church of God and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Celina First Church of God, the Rev. Bruce Strine officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by the Celina VFW and American Legion will follow at Kessler Cemetery, Chattanooga.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorials may be given to Choosing Life Pregnancy Center.
