Clear skies and light winds will lead to another cool night across the region. Overnight lows will dip into the mid to upper 30s in outlying areas. This will result in the potential for some patchy frost development late tonight and early Tuesday morning. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Joan Stammen
Joan M. Stammen, 80, New Bremen, died at 3:40 p.m. Jan. 11, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church, at which time the rosary will be prayed. Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, is handling the arrangements.
Memorials can be given to the church memorial fund.

Elmer A. Weaver, 94, Minster, died at 5:45 a.m. Jan. 22, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. He had been a resident there for a couple of months. [More]
