Ruth Beiting
Ruth Marie Vonder Haar Beiting, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Jan. 21, 2015.
She was born June 20, 1932, in Celina, to Bernadette and Roman Vonder Haar. She was the beloved wife of Thomas L. Beiting for 55 years.
Surviving are children, Thomas, Mary Ann, John, Laura (Kelley) Peter and Michael (Donna); grandchildren, Ashley, Kelley Jr., Michaela, and Hannah; siblings, Dr. Thomas (Doris) Vonder Haar, Rose Anne Vonder Haar, Mary Margaret (Harry) Heckler, Therese Schlidt and John (Diane) Vonder Haar; brother-in-law, John Beiting; cousins; and 20 nieces and nephews.
Deceased are brothers-in-law, Andrew Schlidt and Gene "Zeke" Beiting, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Beiting.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Celina, where she was class valedictorian. She also graduated magna cum laude from the College of Mount St. Joseph, where she was a journalism student and editor-in-chief of the Seton Journal. After graduation, she wrote for The Catholic Telegraph before becoming a homemaker, always caring, always loving, ever vigilant.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, Cincinnati. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the College of Mount St. Joseph, All Saints School Endowment Fund or Immaculate Conception School Appeal, 229 W. Anthony St., Celina, OH 45822.
