Susan Long
Susan Marie Long, 56, Sidney, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2015, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born Dec. 11, 1958, in St. Marys, to the late John "Jack" McEvoy and Jeannette (Bendele) Albers, Celina. On Jan. 30, 2001, she married Nelson Long, who survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are a stepfather, Norbert Albers, Celina; children, Luke Smith, Sidney, Matt Smith, Botkins, and Gretchen Smith, Sidney; stepchildren, Mercedes Long, Atlanta, Ga., and Maverick Long, Dayton; brothers, Steve (Dawn) McEvoy, Joe (Doris) McEvoy, Wapakoneta, Pat (Joni) McEvoy, Troy, and Donald McEvoy, St. Marys; sisters, Cindy Hepp, Fort Loramie, and Rose (Allan) Colson, Fort Pierce, Fla.; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Diana (John) Goettemoeller, Doris (Herb) Wilker, Brenda (Roger) Albers, Todd (Denis) Stammen; and mother-in-law, Katheryn Long, Sidney.
She was 1977 a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Anna. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and friends, walking, living beside the river and watching wild game fly in onto the water.
Funeral services are noon Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Pastor Carolyn Christman officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, St. Marys.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
