Parkway Middle School physical science students Jalen Croy and Duncan Morton, right, watch for a reaction as they study compounds and elements Tuesday morning. The students are using electrolysis to separate water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen with a 9-volt battery and various electrolyte solutions to find the best conductors for the solution.
