Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning. If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

A pressure ridge shown along Lake Shore Drive in Celina extends nearly across Grand Lake. The formation occurred as the thick ice expanded and contracted due to fluctuating temperatures in recent weeks.
