Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Cecile O'Daffer
Cecile Marie O'Daffer, 98, Middle Point, died at 4 p.m. Feb. 28, 2015, shortly after arrival at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born May 27, 1916, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late Melbourne and Nettie (Warmon) Overley. On Feb. 15, 1936, she married William O'Daffer, who died in 1974.
Surviving are a son, Ray O'Daffer, Middle Point; a daughter, Rosemarie Paxton, Cecil; a grandson, Ron (Myrna) Paxton, Cecil; and a sister, Irene Jolly, Celina.
Also deceased are a grandson, David Paxton; a brother, Willard Overley; and two sisters, Aletha Knous and Erma Harris.
Cecile was a cook at VanDel School and Whistle Stop Restaurant. She enjoyed square dancing, sharing stories and baking goodies for her family.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Interment will follow at Ridge Cemetery. Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
