Marcella Stukenborg
Marcella A. "Sally" Stukenborg, 97, Fort Recovery, died on March 6, 2015, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in St. Henry, to the late Henry and Mary (Dwenger) Evers. On April 24, 1941, she married Leo Stukenborg, who died Dec. 14, 1987.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Cheeseman, Fort Recovery; three grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) Hoying, Valerie (Deron) Blasingame, and Tyler Gaerke; and seven great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a sister, Marie "Micky" Evers, and a brother, Clem Evers.
She was a cook at the former Fort Recovery West Elementary School and helped on the family farm. She also worked at J. Cheeseman Wellness Center, St. Peter.
She was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, and a current member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. She was a member of the Christian Mother's Sodality of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She enjoyed playing cards, reading and helping others with natural healing. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Father Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, St. Peter.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
