Helen Boise
Helen Louise Boise, age 92, Celina, Ohio, passed away at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday May 17, 2015 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1922 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late E. D. & Minnie (Purdy) Woodruff. On Oct. 30, 1946 she married Olen V. Boise, who died on Aug. 29, 1995.
Survivors include her children; David & Marlene Boise of Wapakoneta, Linda Ellinger of Columbus, Terry & Melanie Boise of Canal Winchester and 7 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers & sisters-in-law; Walter Woodruff, Charles & Gladys Woodruff, Vernon & Katherine Woodruff, Maurice & Maxine Woodruff, sisters & brothers-in-law Frieda & Dallas Albright, Florence & Robert Woodward and 4 grandchildren.
Helen graduated from Van Wert High School with the Class of 1940. She was a member of the Celina First Church of God. She was active at the Church with the Beacon Class and sang in the Choir. She was also a member of the Sunshine Singers.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Bruce Strine and Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel funeral home.
