* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 642 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area, with several roads closed near and west of Celina. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 435 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Donald Caffee
Donald L. Caffee, 83, Willshire, died at 11:40 p.m. Aug. 11, 2015, at Swiss Village.
He was born April 11, 1932, in Mercer County, to Howard and Caroline (Miller) Caffee. On Dec. 31, 1955, he married Rosemary Weinman at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, and she survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Deborah (Jeffrey) Jones, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a son, Kevin (Robin) Caffee, Willshire; two grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Tangeman and Justin Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Turner Tangeman.
Deceased are a sister, Fern Stetler, and three brothers, Vernon Caffee, Gene Caffee and Dale Caffee.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, Ohio, where he served as past president of the congregation for many years and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also a former member of the Willshire Lion's Club.
He was a lifelong farmer in Mercer County and also owned and operated Don Caffee Insurance Agency for many years.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Ind., Pastor Karen Tamorria officiating. Burial is in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Chattanooga, with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Post #43 of Decatur.
Visitation is 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga.
