Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Jumping into a new school year

Celina Elementary School teachers were jumping for joy on Friday. From left are Mandy Vehorn, Amy Phlipot, Lisa Bye, April Albers and Lori Davis jump rope as Betsey Berkin watches. The teachers presented a skit for students about being proactive, one of the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" students will be learning throughout the school year.
