Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

James Hudson
James E. Hudson, 85, New Bremen, Ohio, died 7:17 A.M. Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born February 23, 1930, in Allen County, Ohio, the son of Elra and Margaret (Cook) Hudson. He married Anna Mae Cooper on August 27, 1950, at Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in New Bremen, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his three children: Mark (Belinda) Hudson of New Bremen; Marna (Tom) Katterheinrich of New Knoxville; Susan Rumple of Wapakoneta. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Matt (Andria) Hudson; Johanna Hudson; Andrew Hudson; Rachel Katterheinrich; Jennifer McClain and Ryan Rumple. He is survived by his great-grandchildren Aiden, Olivia, Paige, Brett, Jordan, Jaclynn, Jessica, Harley, Thomas, Aleaha and Brandon. He is survived by two brothers, Thomas Hudson of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Richard (Ann) Hudson of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert Hudson.
Jim was a 1948 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School and a veteran of the Army National Guard. He retired after 32 years of service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys. He was a farmer and repaired jewelry for many years at his family business, Hudson Jewelry Store in Saint Marys.
He was a retired partner at the Miller Funeral Homes in Saint Marys and New Knoxville. He will be remembered for his friendly personality and his compassion for those in their time of need.
Jim enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and traveling. He also collected and repaired antiques. He was a member of Saint Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Becky Erb Strang, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the funeral rites on Thursday, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
