Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Martha Rismiller
Martha Marie Rismiller age 95, of Rossburg, near North Star passed away at 8:41 A.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
Martha was born March 31, 1920 in Willowdell to the late William & Lydia (Frobe) Schutz.
Martha is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Gayle Rismiller of Rossburg; daughters & sons-in-law, Marilyn & Ed Kramer of Waynesville, Karen & Richard Crump of Houston and Linda Clemons of Portland, Indiana; grandchildren, Katie Crump, Rob & Amanda Crump, Adam Follrod, Carla Weiser, Elizabeth Kramer, Eric & Ashley Kramer, Darren & Maggie Rismiller, Craig & Firouzeh Rismiller, Mark & Janelle Rismiller and Justin & Jamie Rismiller; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Rismiller on February 2, 2000 whom she married June 6, 1943; son-in-law, Bill Clemons; granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Crump; great-grandson, Will Ryan Rismiller; sister, Esther Billenstein; and brother, Carl Schutz.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church near North Star where she sang in the choir for 60 years. Martha was a 1938 graduate of Versailles High School. Martha was an expert gardener, loved sewing, cooking, canning and helping others. Martha loved her family and spending time with them.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 13495 Greenville-St. Marys Rd. Versailles (near North Star) with Pastor Laura Shreffler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Handicap Accessibility Fund.
