Walter Rammel
Walter L. Rammel, age 72, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died December 3, 2015 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH.
He was born October 18, 1943, in Sharpsburg, OH, to the late Paul and Alvina (Schulte) Rammel. On April 29, 1967, he married Barbara (Bertke) Rammel and she died on January 29, 1992. On March 1, 1997, he married Sue (Schmidt) Rammel, who survives in Fort Recovery.
Also surviving are two sons, Brad (Kimberly) Rammel of Rockford, OH, and Trent Rammel (and fiancee Lora Stienecker) of Van Wert, OH; a daughter, Jodi (Gary) Miller of Coldwater, OH; siblings, Clete (Donna) Rammel of Fort Recovery, Margaret (Pete) Bertke of Coldwater, Pauline (Bob) Schlarman of St. Henry, OH, Ann (Steve) Hoelscher of Minster, OH, Mary Rammel of Fort Recovery; 6 grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Beverly (Dave) Kuck of New Bremen, OH.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Miller and brothers, Charles (Barb) Rammel and Louis Rammel.
Walter retired from the former Fort Recovery Equity after 40 plus years and was currently employed part time at Steve Vore Welding, Fort Recovery.
He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Walter enjoyed being a part of Vore's Compact Touring Series Racing Team. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, making homemade horseradish and spending time with family and friends.
Calling is 1:00 pm-6:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Monday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, December 7, 2015 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, with Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
