David Preston
David Preston, age 76 of Lafrette Sur Seine, France, passed away on Nov. 24, 2015 in Argenteuil, France.
He was born in Montezuma, Ohio to the late Homer & Alice (Boroff) Preston.
He is survived by his wife Anne (Buckingham) Preston, two daughters Tina Likeness and Alicia Preston both of Florida, sister-in-law Alexandra Preston in Washington D.C., aunt Goldie Ballinger of Celina and numerous cousins and other Sielschott family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Preston.
He graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1957 and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Japan where he was a copy editor for The Pacific Stars and Stripes.
David was also stationed in Saigon where he served as Vietnam News editor, this included several trips to the combat zones. He worked for the Washington Post before moving to Paris, France, where he worked as an editor for the International Herald Tribune until his retirement.
David will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and associates around the world.
Arrangements are being handled by Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
