Darlene Siemer
Darlene S. Siemer, 71, of St. Marys, OH died Sunday January 3, 2016 at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born November 19, 1943 in Allen Co., OH to Gerald and Dorothy (Lauth) Burnett. On September 12, 1964 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys, she married Ned Siemer, who died November 23, 2003.
Survivors include: daughter Melissa (fiance Brad Counts) Koeper of St. Marys, OH; 3 grandchildren: T.J. (fiancee Sierra Leonard) Siemer, Nathan Koeper, Keely Koeper; mother Dorothy Burnett of Spencerville, OH; brother Thomas Burnett of Spencerville, OH; sister Alice Burnett of Spencerville, OH; sister Patty (Harry) Gaerke of Geneva, IN; brother Jeff (Cheryl) Burnett of Spencerville, OH.
Preceded in death by: father Gerald Burnett; husband Ned Siemer; son Timothy Siemer; infant brother Danny Burnett.
Darlene worked as assistant activities director for St. Marys Living Center. She had previously worked for Huffy Bicycle Mfg. in Celina and St. Marys Cotton Mill.
She was a member of St Paul's United Church of Christ, American Legion Post #323 auxiliary and VFW Post # 9289 auxiliary.
Her favorite pastimes included gardening, cooking, baking, making crafts and helping others.
Rites are scheduled to begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 9, 2016 at Miller–Long & Folk Funeral Home (314 W. High Street Chapel) in St. Marys. The Rev. Dr. Ed Bray will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.
Visitation 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home on High Street.
