Girlie Cavinder
Girlie Cavinder, age 76, of Celina, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her residence.
She was born April 19, 1939 in Prestonburg, KY, to the late Greene & Mary Ann Higgins Jones. Girlie married Charles Cavinder on August 8, 1962, and he passed away August 11, 1966.
She is survived by children: Danny Cavinder of Forest, Ken Cavinder and Pamela "Sue" Macak, both of Celina, and Jim Jones of Bellefontaine, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and her twin sister, Cynthia Crawford of Bellefontaine.
Preceding her in death was a son, Rickey Cavinder, a brother, Rally Jones, and sisters: Sylvania Tropp, Jo Prater and Zelma Bradley.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. Girlie never met a stranger, and is survived by many friends and her beloved dog, Willy. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls.
Services will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 10, with Calling Hours from 2:00 P.M. until time of Services on Wednesday, at the Funeral Home.
In memory of Girlie, contributions may be made to The Cancer Association of Mercer County.
