St. Marys general service employees on Thursday replace canal culverts on South Street. The project is one of four planned in town this year along the Miami and Erie Canal. The city is working with Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which owns the waterway. Work is expected to be completed in about mid-May. The canal recently was drained from Greenville Road to Lock 13 in Memorial Park for the projects.
