Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Betty Diane (Weiler) Hecht, 69, St. Marys, OH died unexpectedly Saturday February 20, 2016 at her residence.
She was born June 12, 1946 in St. Marys, OH to Richard and Betty (Cotterman) Weiler.
Survivors include: daughter Sue (Cory) Horn of Herminston, OR; daughter Bobbie (Darrold) Best of Wenatchee, WA; son Ivan (Josefina) Slone of Rock Island, WA; son C. Todd Huey of St. Marys, OH (who died three days later); daughter Richelle (Jason) Carter of Fostoria, OH; step-daughter Sheila Cooper of Lima, OH; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; mother Betty Weiler of St. Marys, OH; brother Tom Weiler of St. Marys, OH; brother Mike (Amy) Weiler of Wapakoneta, OH; brother Kim (Pat) Weiler of St. Marys, OH; sister Deb (Dale) Miller of St. Marys, OH; sister Sherry (Jerry) Willrath of St. Marys, OH; sister Jammie (Jim Harris) Siemer of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by: father Richard Weiler; granddaughter Heather Best; brother Randy Weiler.
She worked as a production employee for Hayes-Albion (Trim Trends) in Spencerville, OH for 30 years.
She was member of the former VFW #9289 Clown Unit. Known as "Harpo the Clown," she treasured bringing smiles to the faces of people, especially hospitalized children.
Joint funeral rites for Diane and her son, Todd Huey, are scheduled to begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 27, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. The Rev. Tim Smith will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
