Henry Heitkamp
Henry C. Heitkamp, age 94, of Minster, Ohio, died on March 19, 2016 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster, Ohio.
He was born March 2, 1922, in Minster, Ohio to the late Joseph & Ida (Kuess) Heitkamp. He married Alvira Bruns on June 23, 1948 in St. Rose. She preceded him in death on November 12, 1991.
He is survived by children: Wilma & Mike DuLaney, McCartyville, Louis & Deb Heitkamp, Minster, Harry & Marge Heitkamp, Minster, Ruth & Dave Feltz, Cassella, Jeanette Eilerman, Yorkshire, Chris & Bill Meinerding, Lakeview, Rosie & Randy Bruns, Coldwater, Ted Heitkamp, St. Henry, 23 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, Joseph C. Heitkamp, granddaughter Marie, son-in-law Dan Eilerman, sisters Hilda & Hugo Kremer, Alvina & Clarence Lochtefeld.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, St. Joe Men's Sodality, the Jackson Twp. Zoning Board and a lifelong farmer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Tuesday, March 22, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Memorials may be made to Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
