New docks installed

A boat dock is lowered recently into Grand Lake. Shinn Brothers was awarded a $114,900 contract to build floating docks. The city is required to install 22 docks to replace those removed north of the spillway before construction of the walkway began several years ago. The project should be wrapped up by Memorial Day and will be paid with funds from $1.285 million earmarked to Celina in the state capital budget bill in 2014 to develop three softball fields at Westview Park and to complete the walkway.
