Patricia M Gavit age 65 of Minster, Ohio died at 11:05 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her home after a 6 month illness.

She was born on March 17, 1951 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Clarence & Clare (Borchers) Winner. She married Michael J. Gavit on August 7, 1974 in Minster, Ohio and he survives in Minster.

She is also survived by children, Katie & Brett Simon, Cincinnati, Erin & Phillip Frilling, Minster, Joseph & Maura Gavit, Minster, grandchildren Michael, Daniel & Joanna Simon, brothers & sisters Ronald & Cheryl Winner, Florida, Roger (Pete) & Sarah Winner, Tipp City, Jane & Jim Hatfield, Glen Ellyn, IL, Judy Winner, Minster, Greg & Teresa Winner, Minster, in-laws Susan Winner, Minster, Peter LaFalce, Lexington, KY & Mary Ann Winner, Ft. Loramie, mother-in-law Dorothy Gavit, North Star.

She was preceded in death by a brother Richard Winner & sister Pamela LaFalce.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, and a member of the choir. She was also a member of the Arrowhead Ladies Association, Auglaize/Mercer YMCA, She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, gardening and dancing.

She was a graduate of Wright State University and The University of Dayton and was a teacher and guidance counselor for Minster schools for 36 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2016 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
