Oscar Borgerding
Oscar A. Borgerding, age 95, of St. Henry, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at Celina Manor.
He was born November 30, 1920 in St. Joe, Ohio to the late John Edward & Elizabeth Philomena (Link) Borgerding. On October 12, 1944 he married Edna (Dorsten) and she died February 9, 2010.
He is survived by two children, Bob & Jan Borgerding of St. Henry and Jane & Dan Bruns of Chickasaw; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and in laws Ludwina Miller of Coldwater and Leland McBride of Michigan.
He is preceded in death by sons, William & David, siblings, George & Mary Borgerding, Marita Hess, Edna Cummings, Laura & Elmer Dorsten, Clara McBride and Betty Borgerding.
He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the St. Henry K of C and was a graduate of St. Henry High School. Oscar retired from Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held 10:30 am Friday June 3, 2016 at St. Henry Church with Deacon Randy Balster, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry and from 9 to 10 am on Friday.
