Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

William Chaffins
William "Spank" B. Chaffins, 54, St. Marys, OH died 12:37 p.m. Saturday June 11, 2016 in the emergency department of JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born October 2, 1961 in St. Marys, OH to Ballard and Mary Jean (Deckman) Chaffins.
He is survived by: significant other Connie (McDermitt) Smith of St. Marys, OH; son Isaac Kayne of St. Cloud, MN; son Caleb Chaffins of St. Cloud, MN; son Jason Chaffins of Sidney, OH; father Ballard (Bonnie) Chaffins of St. Marys, OH; mother Pastor Jean (Marvin) McLaughlin of St. Marys, OH; sister Annette Alexander of St. Marys, OH; sister Bernette Newbauer of St. Marys, OH; sister Claudette Snyder of St. Marys, OH; brother Michael Stephens of St. Marys, OH; brother Anthony (Stacy) Stephens of St. Marys, OH; step-brother Joe (Michelle) Vires of St. Marys, OH; step-sister Lisa Moore of St. Marys, OH; step-sister Chastity (Troy) Dodson of New Bremen, OH
Preceded in death by: daughter Jessica Chaffins.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1980). He worked as a driver for Don Huelskamp Trucking in Maria Stein, OH and had also been employed by the New Knoxville Telephone Co.
His favorite pastimes included gardening, watching North Carolina Panthers football games and spending time with his family.
Rites are scheduled to begin 10:30 a.m. Friday June 14, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
