* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While temperatures are expected to be in the upper single digits (above zero), a northwest wind at 10-15 mph will make temperatures feel as if they are colder than 10 below zero.

Gary Poppe
Gary L. Poppe, 67, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 11:26 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at St Ritas Medical Center in Lima.
He was born October 7, 1948, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Betty Byerley. He married Sherry Storer of March 28, 1970, and she survives at the residence.
His mother, Betty Byerley survives in Saint Marys. He is also survived by his children: Penny Poppe of Saint Marys; Timothy Poppe of Saint Marys; Teddy (Cindy) Poppe of Saint Marys; by his daughter-in-law, Sherri Poppe; by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings: Wayne (Laura) Byerley of Saint Marys; Darren (Cheryl) Byerley of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas Poppe and Tobias Poppe.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He earned two Purple Heart Medals during his time of service to his country.
He retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of VFW Post 9289 and he liked playing poker, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
