Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Freedom Days in Celina

Craig Benanzer adjusts a sign on a food stand Thursday afternoon at Lakeshore Park in Celina, where this weekend's Freedom Days celebration will take place today through Sunday. The 12th annual festival kicks off today at 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies, rides and beer and food tents opening. Fireworks are set for 10 p.m. on Saturday and R&B national act Rare Earth performs at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
