Injury accident

Vehicles rest in a ditch near Fox Road and state Route 49 after a 9 a.m. accident on Thursday. A pickup truck driven by Cameron L. Kunkle, 19, Portland, Ind., was stopped at the stop sign on Fox Road. Failing to see a car driven by Kelsey Ann Odell on state Route 49, Kunkle pulled into the intersection and his truck struck Odell's car, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's Office report. Odell, 22, 1641 Peters Road, Fort Recovery, reportedly suffered serious injuries and was taken by squad to Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Kunkle and passenger Connor S. Kunkle, 15, Portland, were not injured. Cameron Kunkle was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
