* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Mack Wellman
Mack W. Wellman age 87 of New Bremen, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:15 PM at the Heritage Center in Minster.
He was born on October 19, 1928 near New Knoxville, Ohio to the late Edward O. and Leona M. (Dammeyer) Wellman. On August 2, 1950 he married Vernita I. Brockman who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are their children Cathy Stevens of Celina, Ohio, and Thomas (Christine) Wellman of Springboro, Ohio, grandchildren Rob (Deb) Stevens, Matt Wellman, and Cory Wellman, great-grandchildren Britenee Stevens and Dallas Smith, his sisters Mary (Merle) Sampson of Swanton, Ohio, and Carolyn Deniston of Westerville, Ohio, and a sister-in-law Marian Wellman of New Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Connie J. Wellman, a granddaughter Melissa C. Howell, and a brother Charles E. Wellman.
Mack was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, and was a 1946 graduate of New Bremen High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and playing cards. He and Vernita enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, traveling abroad to Germany, and taking in several cruises over the years.
Mack owned and operated the former Crown Cleaners of New Bremen for 25 years. He then worked for Crown Equipment Corp. for 17 years, before retiring in 1992.
He was a member of American Legion Post 241 of New Bremen, Minster Eagles 1391, New Bremen Senior Citizens, New Bremen Historic Association, Home Benefit Association, and New Bremen Rod & Gun Club.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Military Honors will be presented at the funeral home following the services. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the German Protestant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Memorials can be made to the St. Paul U.C.C. Window Restoration Fund, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Mack.
