Earl Schlater
Earl T. Schlater, age 82, of New Weston, Ohio, died on July 16, 2016 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born April 4, 1934 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late Clem & Genora (Koverman) Schlater. He married Virginia (Feltz) on February 24, 1962 and she survives.
He is survived by four children: Sandra & Al Weidenborner of Dayton, Thomas & Sherry Schlater of Moorcraft, Wyoming, Kathleen & Neal Homan of Minster, Joann & Kevin Beck of Covington; eight grandchildren: Katie, Hunter, Jacob, Parker, Tommy, Nick, Nathan and Colin; siblings Louis Schlater of North Star, Ken Schlater of St. Henry, Marilyn & Paul Braun of Ft. Recovery, Melvin & Pat Schlater of Vandalia, Donald & Margaret Schlater of Worthington, and Betty & Paul Sherman of Russia; in laws: Velma Schlater of North Star, Donald Feltz of Coldwater, Barbara Wenning of McCartyville, Betty Feltz of St. Henry and Kathy Feltz of Coldwater.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter Megan, a brother Edmund Schlater and in laws: Irene Schlater, Marilyn Schlater, Tony Feltz, Harold Feltz, Wilbur & Alice Feltz, Alice Feltz, Eugene Boeckman and Ken Wenning.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home St. Henry.
