Perry Kreider Jr.
Perry Eldon Kreider Jr., age 66 of Englewood, formerly of Fort Recovery, answered the call of the Canoe Country on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
He was born October 19, 1949 to the late Perry "Pete" Kreider and Dorothea (Brown) Kreider Sr.
Perry graduated from Fort Recovery High School and earned Bachelor Degrees from Ohio State University in Political Science and from Wright State University in Finance.
He was an accountant by trade but in his younger years trained harness horses, including Fan Hanover, the only filly to ever win the Little Brown Jug. He enjoyed the outdoor world, including fishing, canoeing, hiking and photography. Perry was also a member of the Englewood Fine Arts Committee and a member of the German Club Edelweiss in Englewood.
His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Mary Jane (Gabel) Kreider, son: Nathan (Sarah) Kreider of Lima, grandchildren: Zachary, Abigail, Patrick, brother: James N. "Nick" (Vickie) Kreider of Springboro, nieces: Amanda (Drew) Swoboda, Rachael (Michael) Summers, nephews: Edward (Tricia) Kreider, Chris Todd, Jason Kreider, Alex Kreider, Jesse (Elizabeth) Kreider, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dr. Albert and Lucille Gabel of Dublin, relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his sister: Nancy Todd and brother: Miles M. Kreider.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
