A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures.
Additional snow may linger through Monday morning with accumulations remaining light. However, increasing winds and very cold temperatures will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.
Challenging travel conditions will be possible starting late this evening, continuing through the day on Monday. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Monday to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Herbert May
Herbert May age 70, Portland, passed away Friday morning at his residence.
He was born in Portland February 26, 1946 the son of Velda and Mary (Wheeler) May. He was married August 15, 1984 to Margie Ontrop who survives.
He had worked at Teledyne Portland Forge and did construction work. He was a 1964 Madison High School graduate.
Surviving are his wife Margie, one son Anthony May (wife Amanda) of Portland, three daughters Patricia Swanagan (husband Kerry) of Winchester, Michelle Miller (husband Kile) of Redkey and Brenda Funk (husband Shaun) of Monroe, one sister Janet Schaffer (husband Bill) of Portland, thirteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. In the Salamonia Church of Christ Church with Pastor Bruce Phillips presiding. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.
