Alice Baucher
Florence "Alice" Baucher, age 90 of Celina, Ohio passed away at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 4, 2016 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1926 in Celina to the late Oscar & Opal (Fleenor) Buck. On June 1, 1946 she married Lester E. Baucher, who died Sept. 2, 2009.
Survivors include her children Sharon (Jerry) Garman, Coldwater, Richard Leroy (Patricia) Baucher, Celina, Susan Christina Hagen, Grand Rapids, MI, Sandra (Colonel Kevin) Stevens, Florence, Texas, David (Norma) Baucher, Celina; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; sister Janet (Dick) Garwood, Celina and a sister-in-law Laura "Susie" Buck of Celina.
Alice was preceded in death by her son-in-law Christian Hagen; brothers & sisters-in-law Ralph (Ilene) Buck, Bill (Beulah) Buck, Lyle "Pete" Buck, infant brother Rex Buck and sisters & brothers-in-law Ruth (James) Byers, Helen (Olan) Brandon.
She graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1944 and was formerly employed at Goodyear in St. Marys, Huffy Bicycle in Celina and the Empire Commissary. She was a Life Member of the Celina V.F.W. Aux. and bowled in the Mom and Pop's League in Coldwater. Alice loved to play cards, she always had a big garden and enjoyed helping out around the farm and cooking. In 1977 she earned the Honorary State Farmer award from the Future Farmers of America.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday September 9, 2016 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp College Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home. V.F.W. Post #5713 Aux. membership services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
