Samuel Stiles
Samuel R. Stiles, 68, of Celina, Ohio, died September 8, 2016, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Dayton.
He was born September 10, 1947, in Darke County, Ohio, the son of Robert L. and Dorothy (Wogoman) Stiles. He married Marian McAfee on June 2, 1972, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Wogoman Semen of Madison, Mississippi; by his three daughters: Kelly Moniz of Celina; Sara (Chad) Etzler of Celina; Michele (James) Johnson of Richmond, Virginia.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kyla; Samuel; Nikolas; Victoria; Gaberiel; Madison; James; Moriah; Jackson; Jonah.
Also surviving is a brother, Terry Stiles of Madison, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his father, and by one brother, Larry Stiles.
Mr. Stiles was a graduate of Ansonia High School, and served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1968-71. He retired from Cardinal Vending Company, and was a member of American Legion Post 470, and also the Coldwater Jaycees. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and being around his family. He was a member of New Life Christian Center, Celina.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at New Life Christian Center, Celina, Pastor Jason King, officiant. Military burial honors will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of funeral rites on Tuesday at the church. The Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, is entrusted with Mr. Stiles funeral arrangements.
