Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Janice Barr
Janice L. Barr, 87, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, September 14, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio.
Jan was born September 15, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Paul and Daisy Solms. On January 24, 1948, she married Richard (Dick) S. Barr, who died May 7, 2009.
Surviving is one son, Richard Barr Jr.; and two foster sons, Dan (Georgene) Knapke, Fairborn, Ohio, and Larry (Lorraine) Knapke, Coldwater. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Margaret A. Knapke.
Jan was a graduate of Stivers High School, Dayton, and graduated from Wright State University with a degree in Art Education. She taught at Celina High School, and was a former Director of the American Red Cross.
Jan chose to have her body donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date.
