A detached garage in Minster was mostly destroyed by fire on Wednesday. Minster-Jackson Township Fire Department officials responded to the call at the intersection of Canal Road and First Street around 2:54 p.m. The garage is behind a home at the southwest corner of the intersection. Fire chief Dale Dues did not have information on the exact address or property owner this morning. He said the cause of the fire is undetermined and no one was injured or at home during the fire. Only the garage and its contents were damaged, he said.
