Charles Staggs
Charles (Bucky) Staggs age 82, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hospice of Van Wert.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Kathy Staggs.
He leaves his wife Sharon Staggs of 23 years, two sons, Ron Staggs and Scott Staggs (Amy), three daughters, Sherri Staggs (Carolyn), Lisa Shoff (Carey), Angie Riviello-Coletta (Dan), eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Bucky was a Kiser star athlete and University of Dayton football player. He was a Kiser and Dayton Baseball Hall of Fame inductee. Played baseball for Parkmoor, House of David and a short time with the Chicago White Sox where he hit against Satchel Paige. In football he was being recruited by the Cleveland Browns and Jesse Owens was his chaperone.
No services will be held as Bucky donated his body to Boonshoft School of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio.
