Red Ribbon Week planting

Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

Sierra Maxwell, left, and Mackenzye Perry, both freshmen, plant tulip bulbs in the flowerbed in front of Celina High School on Thursday morning. Celina Students Against Destructive Decisions members planted the tulips for Red Ribbon Week. The flowers will bloom in the spring to remind students of the importance of life and safe prom season festivities, organizer Michelle Langmeyer said. This project allows teens to enjoy nature and relieve stress while planting bulbs and enjoying the outdoors.
