Quintin Kuntz
Captain Quintin Roger Kuntz, of New Knoxville, Ohio, fell asleep on Tuesday November 1, 2016, and is awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Quintin, age 30, was born on January 16, 1986, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Roger and Teresa (Casarez) Kuntz, and they survive in New Knoxville.
Quintin met the love of his life, Jessica Rea, in 2011, and they were married on May 27, 2012. Jessica survives him in Toledo, Ohio.
Along with his parents and wife, Quintin is survived by his two brothers, Andrew Kuntz and Isaac Kuntz, and last, but not least, by his two puppies whom he called his boys: Dexter and Echo.
Quintin loved learning and attended the University of Toledo, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry. He went on to the University of Louisville, where he earned his MBA while participating in the ROTC program.
Quintin loved his country and decided to join the military; he wanted to serve and help others. Upon graduating, Quintin began his military career and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant with the United States Army at the University of Louisville. He graduated from the Basic Officer Leader Course for the Engineer Branch at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
After graduation he married Jessica Rea in Indianapolis, Indiana. The two then reported to their first duty station at Fort Hood, Texas. At Fort Hood, Quintin worked as Platoon Leader and a Company Executive Officer, and was promoted to First Lieutenant and Captain, respectively. Upon being promoted to Captain, he attended and graduated from Captain's Career Course.
His love for God and the Way Ministry began at a very early age and continued throughout his life. While at the University of Toledo he served as a Household Fellowship Coordinator. He felt it was an honor to teach others the Word of God, whether it was at a Youth Advance or at a Weekly Household Fellowship.
Quintin was a son of God who loved God's word, a loving son, a loving brother, and a loving husband. Quintin will lovingly be remembered by all for the unconditional love and compassion he bestowed upon all.
We will miss Quintin's cheerful smile, his willingness to love God, his family, his friends, and his country. Quintin is awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Recognition Services were held Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys.
