Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Sunlight shines off frost on a window in Celina on Thursday morning. The bitter cold eases today with a high of 38, however rain and freezing rain are expected, according to local forecaster Dennis Howick. Bitterly cold temperatures return on Monday with a low of minus-7.
