Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Bernard Holthaus
Bernard E. Holthaus age 93 of McCartyville, Ohio died at 1:37 AM on February 2, 2017 at his home in McCartyville.
He was born on June 8, 1923 in St. Patrick, Ohio to the late Bernard H. & Caroline (Prenger) Holthaus. He married Ruth Albers on September 4, 1946 and she preceded him in death on October 14, 1977. He then married Mary Weitzel Langenkamp on June 22, 1984 and she preceded him in death on March 25, 2008.
He is survived by children: Rosemary & Marvin Albers, Anna, Bernard & Bobbi Holthaus, Sidney, Dorothy Inman, Mesa, AZ, Marlene Overly, Duluth, GA, Carol & Larry Voisard, Ft. Loramie, Fred Holthaus, Anna, Marian Bensman, Russia, Rick & Deb Holthaus, Anna, Pat & Mark Wale, Celina, Rita & Allan Wente, Minster, Treva & Rick Monnier, Tipp City, Mark & Sharon Holthaus, Anna, Bill & Deb Holthaus, Anna, Jerry Holthaus, Anna, Margie & Jerry Gepfrey, Anna, Rob Holthaus, Anna, 36 grandchildren & 69 great grandchildren, siblings: Lester Holthaus, Ft. Loramie and Catherine Holthaus, in-laws: Angela Albers, Ft. Loramie, Tom & Margaret Albers, Egypt, Carl & Alvira Albers, St. Henry and the Langenkamp Family.
He was preceded in death by daughter Ann Holthaus, sons-in-law: Dave Overly & John Bensman, brothers & sisters: Alfred & Mary Holthaus, Marcellus Holthaus, Victor Holthaus, Rita Holthaus, Anthony & Roseann Holthaus and brother-in-law Bernard Albers.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed fishing & hunting. He loved visiting with his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, St. Patrick, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 6, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 7.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice or to the charity of donor's choice.
