Janice Colson
Janice "Jan" N. Colson, 64, Saint Marys, died suddenly at 4:35 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Saint Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born October 22, 1952, in Brecksville, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Delores (Thies) Blunk.
She married Randy Colson on August 7, 1982, in Brecksville, Ohio, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her two daughters, Jodi Wasinski of Cleveland, Ohio; Jill Colson of Scottsburg, Indiana.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, and by her siblings, Loretta Smith and Roger Blunk.
She was a 1970 graduate of Brecksville High School. She was a computer programmer, and was employed at the Mercer County, Ohio, Auditor's Office. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Jan loved horses and had been a barrel racer. She was a 4-H Advisor to the Horse Department of Auglaize County 4-H, and served on the Ohio Girls Barrel Racing Committee. She also liked to travel and watch the Cleveland Browns games.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiating. Private family burial rites will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Auglaize County 4-H Horse Department.
