Jacqueline L. Deloye
Jacqueline L. (Siegel) Deloye, age 71, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes early Thursday morning, February 23, 2017, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born June 21, 1945, in Fort Loramie, Ohio, to the late John A. and Mary "Evelyn" (Romie) Siegel. On July 3, 1965, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Jackie married Leon DeLoye who preceded her in death on July 26, 2008.
Surviving are three sons: Dan & Cheryl DeLoye of Piqua, Mike & Kim DeLoye of Fort Loramie and Lee DeLoye of West Liberty; five grandchildren: Jennifer DeLoye, April Hall, Samantha, Marcus and Rebeccah DeLoye; three great-grandchildren: Conner Hall, Briella and Cheyanne DeLoye; three siblings: Velma & Rufus Pridemore, Linda & Kenny Pleiman, and John & Kathy Siegel, all of Fort Loramie; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don Puthoff, Joan Siegel, Frank & Betty DeLoye and Ann & Roger Chaney, all of Fort Loramie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two siblings, Phylis Puthoff and Robert "Buck" Siegel and a brother-in-law, Donald "Duke" & Rhonda DeLoye.
Jackie was a 1963 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. She had been co-owner and operator of K & K Trophy Sales with her late husband and continued as sole owner and operator for several years after Leon's passing. Jackie was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had been a past and founding member of the Fort Loramie Chamber of Commerce.
She was a Diabetes volunteer and had been a past Liberty Days committee volunteer including two years as chairman. In 2004, Jackie and Leon were honored as Liberty Days parade co-grand marshals. Over the years Jackie enjoyed following Leon's softball games and attending dog races in Wheeling, WV. In recent years, Jackie found that playing slot machines for an occasional test of luck to be entertaining.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
